"Enemies you threaten make armies. Enemies you kill make tombs."

Inock`Tchizik (Shadow Hunter)
Then
The Inock`Tchizik were the primary trackers for the Yam`rii tribes. When the Azaetzil required a specific organ from a beast, they dispatched the Inock`Tchizik to find it. They would track their quarry and relay the location to the
Tzayal`Chayich, who hunted the prey. The process could take up to several days, and the Inock`Tchizik developed a method to mark the path to the target. They would take both tibias and drive them into the ground, pulling toward themselves at and outward angle. This created an arrow shape in the soil, which gave the direction to follow.
Now
With advanced technology and hunting tactics changing so drastically since the time of the Yam`rii tribes, so has the role of the Inock`Tchizik. A diminished need for tracking wildlife forced them to turn their strengths toward other areas of survival. The ability to notice minute changes in their environment give them a distinct advantage in locating fugitives, uncovering plots and revealing secrets. This ability gives them an important position in Zeet-ish`Tchizik, being the personal guard to the Laaziz when needed.

Hich-ish (Dirt Spirit)
Then
The Hich-ish were the primary builders of Yam`rii warrens and structures. Using their muscular tibias, they would dig large cavern systems or chisel soft stone into various shapes. They also constructed temporary trapdoor pits, for use by the Tzayal`Chayich in hunting various wildlife. Daily tasks generally included repair and maintenance of existing structures, removing and relocating materials, and preparing for the following day.
Now
With greater exposure to outside construction and metallurgical techniques, the technology available to the Hich-ish has increased their overall productivity. While most current Zeet-ish`Tchizik structures are above ground, the knowledge of warren and trapdoor construction is still passed down today.

Tzayal`Chayich (Hidden Tree)
Then
Being the exclusive hunters of the Yam`rii tribes, Tzayal`Chayich provided not only the majority of sustenance for the tribe, they also defended from outside threats. The original hunting technique of swarming an enemy with sheer numbers became less effective as the tribes began exploring more of Huk. They adapted an ambush hunting style to minimize losses, and catch faster quarry with surprise. Using camouflage, patience and occasionally trapdoors built by the Hich-ish, the Tzayal`Chayich became feared by off-worlders very quickly.
Now
The Tzayal`Chayich now form the militant arm of Zeet-ish`Tchizik , engaging those who would take hostilities toward the religion. Facing superior weaponry meant changing the structure of the Tzayal`Chayich. Opening the caste to non-Yam`rii meant different tactics, armaments, and approaches to warfare. While they still prefer ambush tactics when available, having equal weaponry means still having options when stealth is not available.
