Metamorphosis Plague
Until recently, The "Metamorphosis Plague" (also known as the Great Animosity Plague- a name that was ironically given to the disease by faithless outsiders. It is believed that the name was unintentionally chosen to reference Zeetchich's hatred of Kiitchich) was considered an "outsider" affliction. Ignorance of Kiitchich and the Eye led to being punished through possibly the most painful method available- restructuring an individual at the smallest level.
Year Four
In Year 4, most followers of Zeet-ish-Tchizik had certainly heard of what became known as the "Metamorphosis Plague". It was, however, considered a myth- a misunderstanding by other species regarding natural events or phenomenon. It had the same impact as stories such as Shinch`Ticha-Tishaga (The Heat Lake Rancor) or the Chayich-Suhgisi (Watching Tree) - fables that were meant to keep young Yam`rii under control.
Year Fourteen
When initial reports of the Metamorphosis Plague had become verified, the Zeet-ish-Tchizik community became shocked and fearful. While none of the congregation had been affected personally, a growing concern emerged among the devoted. In order to help stave off paranoia, the Elder Council had simply dismissed the affliction as "an outsider problem", as a punishment for lack of faith in Kiitchich.
Year Sixteen
Early in Year 16, the first case of the Plague surfaced among the congregation. A female devotee (who posthumously received the title of Azaish- Spirit of Pain) had contracted the illness was quickly secreted away for study by the Aeztil. Over several days they recorded symptoms, attempted to devise a cure using various experimental treatments, and even tried Truthstone as a possible deterrent to the disease. Over time, she had perished from the transformation, resulting in a corpse that was half Quarren and half Yam`rii. Her endurance through the process not only gave insight into the process, but also brought the reality of the epidemic into the hearts of the faithful.
Shortly after the incident, the Elder Council convened on Huk to debate the implications of the Plague on Zeet-ish-Tchizik. While members of the faith eagerly awaited the decision, they would not be heard from again until Year 18.

Year Eighteen
In Year 18, two opposing organizations brought the Metamorphosis Plague back into the minds of the faithful. All eyes turned to the Elder Council for guidance, hoping to find direction.
